Case Evaluation

Case Evaluation is a short appointment, usually one-half Hour, to explain the asylum process. During this time, Attorney Lader will ask you some questions and answer your questions about the process. You are under no obligation to become a client. To make it clear, Attorney Lader will not give you specific legal advice regarding your case. Attorney rules do not allow giving legal advice unless you become a client. Attorney Lader may or may not offer to accept you as a client.

Case Consultation

Case Consultation is an in-depth review of your case to file an I-589, Asylum Application. Attorney Lader covers all application sections, answering your questions. At the end of the meeting, access to an online system to prepare your I-589 is available. Once you complete the questionnaires, a complete I-589 will be sent to you via email. You will also receive instructions on how to file the I-589. Attorney Lader will not review your I-589 other than to see if all sections are complete. He will not suggest changes nor correct anything you write in your application. The primary purpose of this arrangement is to provide an affordable way to learn how to complete an I-589 adequately based on your personal information without resorting to “street lawyers,” commonly known as “Notarios.”

Asylum Client

If you become an Asylum Client, Attorney Lader will provide legal advice on your situation. In addition, he will prepare the initial I-589 Application for Asylum and I-765 Application for Work Authorization. The collection of documents supporting your claim and the preparation of your declaration follows. Finally, an attorney will be present at your Master Calendar Hearing and your Individual Merits Hearing. You do not need to go through the U.S. immigration system alone.

I can utilize a professional electronic interpreter during a meeting. The system is a dedicated interpretation system, not Google Translate or Microsoft Translate.

The system translates 20 languages and 42 dialects: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Greek, Russian, Hindi, Turkish, Polish, Chinese Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Hebrew, Thai, Vietnamese and Dutch.
